First of all…WELCOME! good to see you on my blog (yes…im watching you
), thanks for coming!
Now the formalities are over…id like to discuss..Knights. Knights in shinning armour! which bring up the question…can i be considered a knight? i did ditched the armour for a expensive suit after all. guess it depends on what kind of knight you want to me. i personally prefer the modern day ladies over the old fashioned ones with hair so long you can use it as a rope to climb a castle. so i guess im a modern day knight, using medieval swordsman ship!
Some of you may remember me as a wizard back in alpha II. those few people might question why i changed? the main reason behind this was the skill builds. Between Alpha II and the Pre-CBT (Vday Showcase) there has been alot of changes made to the game, one of these being the complete reconstruction the skill builds…several times over. Skills have been nerfer, moved around and new ones added in. I wasnt impressed with the new mage/wziard build, hence i decided to hit the gym, tone up a bit. I had played around with archers, warriors and thieves in alpha II (for about 3 levels each) and out of them, warrior came out on top. Thats what i based the change on. Little did i know however, that the skill builds had been changed one again; mages are no longer so bad! But hey, its worked out rather well if i may say so myself; with the old mage robes thrown out, ladies are not longer mistaking me for another girl!
Although i didnt get to experience the new and improved wizard, i still intend to make my first character in CBT a Knight. Ive really enjoyed getting close and personal with the monsters this time around (see picture on right). This is actaully the first game where ive enjoyed tanking (or maybe that was because of the cash shop pots!)…and now i think of it, this is the first time ive played a warrior! Ive always been either a mage, archer or some other form of ranged character. Its a pleasent change!
So what made me choose knight over gladiator? That was a tough choice, i mean…what guy dosnt like big swords? I was actually intending to play a gladiator when i first saw the skill changes. However, this was when everyone had to get their information from the chinese sites! I admit…i got the two classes confused! after randomly watching some videos i realised my mistake (took a while to figure everything out though!). I still swear to this day there was something wrong with the chinese site (other then, of course, it was in chinese…). But anyway, i chose Knight for its skills. They just seemed more…fitting for my style (if there really is a style for beating up crabs…). The faster attack speed and shield also attracted me. I like to jump into the mob and get 10 slashes in before they realise whats happened! I didnt feel gladiators could do that for me. So although i might not be playing gladiator right of the bat, i sure will give it a go sometime
Through my experiences as a knight, ive adapted to the harsh environment of todays cyber world and created my own unique skill build and game strategy. And no, i wont be sharing my build. Im all for indivduality. I encourage people to adapt their skills to best suit their playing style, instead of going of some randoms skill build. It just makes everything so boring in my opinion! use these beta tests to play around with the builds, after all, you do get a skill reset when you advance
Well, thats all from me for now. Ill leave you with this Guide to Warrior/Knight Skills video i put together:
See you all in the CBT!
